focusing on you
New York City is a great place to get therapy. There are tons of very talented therapists here, and so there are many to choose from. Navigating this landscape can be a task onto itself, and there is no one-size-fits-all therapist. I believe it's about goodness-of-fit, and for you to decide if you'd like to work with me requires knowing a bit about me and how I work.
My approach is solution focused, results driven, and evidence-based. I work with clients as part of a cohesive team, first identifying your goals, and then agreeing upon a number of different ways to try to get you there. I blend techniques and concepts from Cognitive Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Humanistic Psychology, Positive Psychology, Health Psychology, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness.
I specialize in working with individuals from the following communities: adults, undergraduate and graduate college students, LGBTQ+, international students, and recent immigrants.
